The Colorado National Monument is a spectacular area of 20,000 acres of steep-walled red rock canyons that lies in the Western Colorado close to the city of Grand Junction. It is located on the eastern border of the Colorado Plateau. The Colorado National Monument is an amazing attraction that draws nearly 500,000 visitors a year. The Colorado National Monument Association (CNMA) is actually a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

The goal of this association is to help with scientific, educational, historical, and interpretive activities to its agency partner, which is the National Park Service (NPS) at Colorado National Monument. The association raises money through operation of the bookstore, membership dues, and other fund-raising activities to publish interpretive materials. Along with that, it also helps to fund NPS activities and projects in the monument and to outreach the activities in the surrounding communities.
