  • Getting it on, in the streets of Montreal part 2 Getting it on, in the streets of Montreal part 2
In the evenings you might just find the front room of the Helm Brasseur gourmande. This is a gastropub which brew six different varieties of its own beer in the back. this place is full of young people who are trying to converse over  loud soundtrack.  Helms name is an acronym for the different ingredients  that are used of beer, houblons, water, yeast and malt. The menu offers tapas size pub food with an emphasis on the local ingredients.  You should try out the wild boars shepherd pie. The varnished wood design here is slicker than all the homespun furniture that you could find anywhere else in the whole miles end. The food here is amazing and the the beer served here is real good too. Montreal is the second largest city in Canada. This  [...]

  • Getting it on, in the streets of Montreal Getting it on, in the streets of Montreal
Did you know that footpaths could change the way an entire neighborhood looks?  In fact about seven years ago, the government here in the city started widening the sidewalks and they installed new benches and planters over the Bernard Street which is west of the Boulevard St.Laurent. This place has been lined up with musty convenience stores. In fact in the local language it is called depanneurs.  This place has greasy spoons and vacant storefronts.  The entire neighborhood which surrounds this place is a at a mile end and has become a good spot to witness local music with the many local bands that this place has given rise to. There are many clubs are practice rooms here. The entire era has somehow left out Rue Bernard which it completed  [...]

  • The beautiful Gulf islands in the British Columbia The beautiful Gulf islands in the British Columbia
The Strait of Georgia has freezing cold water on its one hundred and fifty miles long waterway. The strait primarily separates Vancouver Island from the main British island of British Columbia. The eastern shore of the Galliano Island looked like it was quite untouched by man. The shore is covered with sandstones. There is curled and carved with centuries of storms and waves and above all is the spruce that provide fir and russet trunk arbutus trees that are usually responsible for covering a lot of this skinny island that is about nineteen miles long.  When you swim to the south of here, you will see this sheltered cove which has a pebble beach. These are usually protected by the wind and the pebbles that are warmed by the unrelenting rays  [...]

  • Live it up in the British Columbia – Part 2 Live it up in the British Columbia – Part 2
Apart from all these many luxuries, there is rock water which still has a rustic and laid back atmosphere.  There are also cabins here that are better options for the people who want an option for lesser luxury. The horseshoe pit and the volleyball net on the beach all make this place seem like a happy summer camp place. This place gets fair rainfall, not all the time though!  You can even head to the private beach on the resort. Here you will witness half-moon kayaks that even offer rentals and guided tours.  One of the staff would probably help you out with arranging for the Kayaks , paddles , spray skirts and a map that show the many marine parks which include all the highlights  like the smuggler’s Cove and also a maze of rocks and  [...]

  • Live it up in the British Columbia Live it up in the British Columbia
The sun shines on the rugged coast of British Columbia.  This place is just about two hours to the northwest of Vancouver. The first place you could visit is this trivial corner called ‘secret cove’. Get yourself on a sea kayak.  While you travel from bay to bay, you could navigate around the islands here as well as the many inlets. I fact the closest that you could come to meeting other people here is if you go on a far off sailboat sighting. The sky looks beautiful and there are eagles flying around.  You may even spot seagulls wrestling with fishes in tangled seaweed.  As you move your paddle though the silvery blue water, you can feel that extra weight to the water and the water has certain sheen like the back of whale. The water  [...]

  • Vine trail in the British Columbia Vine trail in the British Columbia
If you drive about three hundred miles north from Seattle, you would reach the wine country in the west of Canada. It would be a complete thrill if you and your family or your friends were on a road trip to go traveling to taste wine and savor the entire experience. There is a tasting room which you go into and sample the different wines that you fancy.  Once you ease into the journey, you can get into tasting the different wines and chardonnays. The Okanogan valleys have apparently become a major winemaking region. This is because of the glacial till here is quite well drained.  Also the temperature keeps changing because of the eighty five mile long Okanogan Lake. This place runs through the heart of the valley here. If you are looking  [...]
